We base our riding lessons off of basic horsemanship that we teach from ground up. This meaning we teach more than just riding and also teach grooming, saddling up and other characteristics of horsemanship. We assess each rider individually and place them on the lesson horse that we feel is the best fit. We only offer lessons with our lesson horses, as our sister business, Northern Pines Equine, offers lessons with owners and their own horses. (Head to NPE's page for details on lessons with your own horse) During the winter season we sometimes have access to an indoor arena but otherwise we take a break.
Northern Pines Equine hosts a ray of different clinics from Obstacle Teamwork Clinics, Horsemanship Clinics, and others just to name a few! Here at Northern Pines Stables, we host 4-H Clinics (as one of our instructors is 4-H judge certified). We try to host different clinics in different arenas around ND. We offer Wish I Had a Horse Camp, FFA/4H Judging Workshops, and My Own Horse Camps for kids. For adults we host Discussion Days with local equine professionals and many different kinds of Adult Workshops. These programs are great to learn more about anything and everything horses, whether you own your own horse or just wish you did! We do offer some events for horse owners at local arenas around North Dakota such as our Summer Playday Series, Horseshows, Snowys, Horsemanship Challenges, and other events. Some of these are hosted with our sister business, Northern Pines Equine. We love offering different but fun events for the community. These are big fundraisers for us throughout the year. These are our favorite! The lesson horse being used gets specially dressed up to the theme we are doing to fit the lucky girl's/boy's birthday. The barn gets decorated, the birthday student gets a gift bag and they get a special lesson including games and obstacles. We also offer limited birthday groups as well. (These must be booked at least 1-2 months in advance)
Another favorite of ours! We host events such as our Halloween Boo in the Barn and our Christmas Deck the Stalls. New events will always be joining us, so keep your eyes open for the fun! We use Facebook as our main platform for advertising events and programs.
